"A Christmas Accident" is the only Christmas story in the collection. It was an enjoyable story about an old curmudgeon who finds himself in an awkward confrontation with a family with whom he holds a grudge. I also enjoyed the other stories, which I would categorize as psychological period pieces. Each story seemed to deal with the inner longings of the main characters and how those inner longings were realized. The book is a free public domain book for , so if you are looking only for Christmas stories, you can get it for "A Christmas Accident" and skip the rest without feeling like you've wasted any money, but I would suggest reading the other stories for your enjoyment as well.
I love to read and this was exactly what I wanted. I loved these stories and will get more later.
